Parent Thank You's

Tomorrow is Kindergarten Promotion.  I could not have done this job without my parent help!  This year I wrapped a gift card in tissue paper and put it inside the bags.  Then I used tags from by butterfly class and made one additional different one (for the parent who took my butterfly class).

Butterfly Pillow Boxes

These Butterfly Pillow Boxes were made for a baby shower my friend Kathy was helping throw.  I found a few ideas on line and bleded them to come up with this cute creation.  I fist cut the pillow box using the SU Sizzix die.  Then ifter the die was cut I ran it through my Big Shot in the Poka Dot folder to imprent the dots on the box.  Next I assembled the box and added the ribbon around the box.  When I had finished the box itself I started on the butterflies.   I used my Big Shot again to die cut out the butterflies using the Beautiful Butterfly die.  This also cut out my larger butterflies.  I wanted them to have the same matching poka dots so I ran them through the Big Shot in the folder as well.  To finish off the butterflies I added some bling to the top butterfly.  I attached it with a dimentinal, folded up its wings and it was done!  They choose to add Rasberry Chocolates inside the box as the treat ;)  Thanks for letting me play Kathy!!!

Cancer Prayers

This is a beautiful card made by my friend Nicole.  She made it for the downline meeting she had a while back.  I was looking through my cards to find a special one for my aunt Tam who after battling cancer is back in the hospital.  The cancer is back and hit her hip area after her last surgery.  I took the card to school and began to write as I learned my good friend and school secretary's Mother-in-law passed away from Cancer this morning.  Please prayer for my aunt as she begins treatments again as well as My friends family in their great loss.

Happy Birthday Cupcake

It has been crazy at work. Between getting ready for Promotion and packing up my classroom.  This card is from my last class.  I liked it because it was really easy to make it girl and boy by changing the colors.  I choose a patterned paper for the bottom half of a plain purple card.  I punched the scalloped circle and the 1 3/4" and attached them together.  Then I stamped and punched the top and bottom of the cupcake.  I adhered the bottom of the cupcake and then used a dimensional for the top of the cupcake.  I added the Happy Birthday stamp, but later was not so sure what I thought about it.  The picture helped the sediment to stand out a little better ;)

Happy Birthday little Brother!!! Today is Andy's Birthday, and though this is not his card I figured I had to show a birthday card in honor! Oh so EASY!!! This card was supper quick and I had to share it with everyone. All I had to do was use my Cupcake roller and roll it over the cream paper. Then I went back and colored the cupcakes! Love ... is Like a Butterfly

I have to say I love this card.  I don't know if it because of the colors or the look of the card!?!  This was the easiest card with an amazingly simple look!  I started by punching the cream with the XL Decorative Label punch.  Then I centered the antenna stamp on the label.  Then I punched the espresso paper with the butterfly punch.  To top off the butterfly I used the Butterfly Prints writing butterfly.   I stamped and cut around the stamp so you could still see the brown background butterfly.  I attached it just in the center so the wings could flutter.  To finish it off I used the sediment from the Butterfly Prints set. Since I have made a few other in different colors, but I still like the brown colors ;)  Have fun!

Posy or Butterfly?

I love this card  I saw it at a Stampin' Up! craft day.  My friend Charlette at http://www.charlettescreativecorner.blogspot.com/ brought it as the card we would make at her table.  I liked it so much I had to run out and get the butterfly punch.  Yes it is most likely this card that prompted the butterfly class.  My altered card is on the right.  I shortened the green to go up about an inch from the bottom of the card so you could see the white.  To the bottom of the green I added the Eyelet Boarder in pink.  Right before I adhered it down I used the XL Decorative Label to punch into the top of the green.  If you would like the CONGRATS to be puffed up up can punch it out of white and used dimensional.  I liked how Charlette made it under to help the flowers stand out.  After the punch I adhered it out to the white card.  Now onto the flowers!!!  This part was so much fun, and I am sad to say that this butterfly punch will be replaced in the new catalog with a different butterfly ;(  SAD DAY!!!  You will use the butterfly punch to punch out 4 butterflies in white.  Then use your thumb to press the center onto your yellow stamp pad to make the center a dark yellow.  Then use a sponge to sponge on the pink to the edges.  With Charlette's card we used a dark and light purple to create the two toned look!  Attach the two in the center and glue on your blig!  To make them stand out use a dimensional in the center beneath each.  To finish off the card stamp your sediment in the blank area.  I wanted to be able to use it for a general Congrats card, but after I thought it would have been a cute baby or wedding card using different colors and a different stamp ;)

Fligh Away Butterfly

I started by stamping the butterfly stamp 3 times on a white piece of paper.  After I had the outline stamped I sponged the color into the butterfly outline.  After they were sponged the color I punched them with the butterfly punch. I found it was easiest to place them on the card and then pick them up and stamp the antenna on.  The last thing I did was stamp the curl of words behind the butterfly!  Simple but so cute!!!

Butterfly Banner

I saw this card on Stamp with Heather and thought it was perfect and easy for my Butterfly class!
This card is so simple you cut three pieces of paper to 1 3/4" x 4" in any color or colors as the banners.  Then punch a butterfly out of the end of the paper strip to make the indentation.  Attach the paper strip to the card front.  Punch a butterfly to go under each paper strip with a glue dot in the middle of the butterfly fold up wings.  Attach bling to the center and add a ribbon to the top if you would like :)  DONE!

Mini Set of 3

I loved this set!  I wanted to do a set of little cards.  All I did was was cut 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 paper for the backing.  Then I used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and used 3 different stamps in the colors that matched the card.  To make the shape I punched around the stamp using the butterfly punch.  Then I stamped the "Thank You Very Much" at the bottom!  Perfect for a gift or a tag for flowers!!!

Grandma and Her Animals

Oh my Grandma and her animals!  It was fun making them all sing and dance!  When we visited Grandma we got onto the topic of all of the stuffed animals in her collection.  Some sang and others just sat!  So I thought it was fitting to post a picture to share my grandma and her 100th birthday with everyone!!!

Happy 100th Birthday Grandma

Happy 100th Birthday Grandma!!!  OK so this card is not exactly how I imagined it would be.  I hate it when that happens.  I am not sure what I pictured, but I was having a hard time getting there!  As I sat down to create it I could not focus on both 100 and birthday.  So this became my creation.  I wanted to pattern it out, but I also thought with Grandma's eyes the solids would be best.  I started out with scalloping the edge of the red to add a more fun boarder.  I then attached a blue square in the center as my backing.  To soften the white I rounded the corners and attached it flat.  To make the 100 I used the candle and 2 balloons and colored and cut them out.  To pop them out I used a dimensional behind each piece.  I still felt like it was missing something, so I added the tag.  I hand colored the stamp to make it more fun!  Just for Grandma I added the bling!  I hope she is excited to get it in the mail.  Without grandpa there I hope it adds a smile to her face.    Even more I am just so glad I get to celebrate with her tomorrow!!!

Hat Box Surprise

This hat box was one of my fun surprises ;)  It was made by my friend Nicole.  She is one of the two bloggers on http://www.teehee4two.blogspot.com and the one who threw this great party!!!  I love the hat idea, but I love even more that it was made with the boxes from the embellishments from Stampin' Up!  Great way to recycle.  What is even better than the hat box was the pair of earrings that she made for everyone.  The earrings were attached to a small scalloped circle inside of the box!  Again my brother laughed to see how excited I was to open the little hat box!  Thanks Again Nicole!!!

God's Craft Angels

Today has been a very long day to say the least.  I found out as I was getting ready for work that my grandfather had passed away this morning.  I knew I needed to be at work today to help me focus on something other than my grandma and how she is dealing.  So with tears in my eyes I got ready for work and drove to school.  As the day went by I had my ups and downs, but I could not get it off my mind.  Arriving home I found a bag by my door.  My friend Nicole told me she was going to leave a bag of goodies (in place of the stamps she was borrowing).  When I opened the bag I did not know what to say!  God had brought me a little sunshine in a darkened day with the goodies in the bag.  They had come from our downline meeting I had missed last weekend.  It was so much fun to see the cards and crafts everyone had made.  More than anything it was exactly what I needed at the moment.  Thanks you everyone for sharing even thought I was not there.  In the next few days I will share the individual projects and their blogs (for the ones I know at least)!  I am blessed that God loves me enough to send friends in the form of cards to remind me of his love and grace!!!
