Easter Craftin

Here are just a few if our crafty elements from our family Easter yesterday :)  I hope you had a few crafts at your Easter!

The kids make an egg for each of us there!
Here is my egg!  We used a rolled piece of
embossed paper under each to hold them
in place as name cards!
Here is the punch that I needed to mark so people knew
it was not mimosas but just punch ;)
Sorry it is so fuzzy!  It looked clear on the phone ;(
Here is the Easter banner from yesterday!

Happy Easter

I wanted to bring a bit of Spring into our Easter lunch so I made a quick banner last night. I liked it do much I packed it with the decorations got next year. Happy Easter!

Duck Shower Banner

The banner is my favorite element of the shower!  I have never worked with burlap, and what an adventure it was! I learned that the thick net burlap is hard to work with because of fraying around the edge.  What I did was cut my pennants.  Then I measured out my ribbon and put glue on the ribbon and then laid the top of the pennant on the ribbon.  Once it was all dry I trimmed the top of the banner.  I tried to fold it behind but it stuck out a little to much for me.  Then I assembled the rosettes and centered them on the pennants and added the letters in the center.  I thought about centering the ducks but they looked funny so I had the ducks "float" on the rosettes and I was done!

Duck Shower Card

I had extra rosettes and ducks from this project so I thought I would make a cute card to go with the gift ;)  To be honest I really just wanted to play with my cloud folder and what I have left from the project.  Looking back I wish I would have used a few cut out clouds to make the back not look so stark.

Duck Shower Thank You Pad

Ever since I found out that Office Depot will cut there large tablets in half for a small charge I have been adding them to my sets :)  I always have extra of the theme embellishments (this time the ducks).  So it has been fun extra gift for only $0.75.  I mean come on, times have you been at a shower searching the hosts house for computer or scratch paper.  This solves the problem and then you can add magnets to the back and have a perfect fridge list!  Have a great day!!!

Duck Shower Favor

Oh how I am loving putting the paper part of the shower together. Today I wanted to share with you the favors.  I think they are going to fill them with a solid blue.  Just to show what it would like I filled them with what came in an M&M bag ;)  I just love them!!!  They will look so cute on the table too!!!

Duck Shower Napkin Ring

The second request they had was the napkin ring ducks.  They already had the rings (not these, but I wanted a sample) so I just created the duck.  This duck is cut front and back 3" on the New Arrival cartridge.  I fell in love with this duck!  Before I glued the yellow piece down I embossed it with polka dots (sorry they are hard to see in this picture).  It made the duck even better :)

Duck Shower Flower Accent

I was asked to create all of the elements for a baby shower.  The invite was designed by someone else, so I thought I would show you the elements I designed.  I was told this would be a duck themed shower using blue, yellow, orange and burlap.  I thought I would start with showing you the centerpiece accents.  This was one of the requested elements to the shower.  The bow is just to hold them together for delivery.  The bottom picture is just the ducks in my table flowers.  If I get a picture from the party I will share it ;)

Whale Shower Invite

Oh how I LOVE this stamp set and MDS for this project!!!  A friend asked me to help plan a baby shower for a friends wife.  The father to be works in the fish department at Pets Mart, so we knew a water/ocean theme would be perfect!  We have learned it is cheaper to print these as invites rather than making a paper invite and buy envelopes.  I knew I needed to start with a theme.  I began to look and I found the Shower With Love theme on line! Then the planning began!!!  I own the Oh Whale stamp set (and LOVE IT), so we found the MDS version would be perfect for the invite.  She wanted to include the ultra sound and it looked funny wherever I put it so we decided on the whale would be the best spot.  The more I played the more I have learned I love this program!

In the next few days I will be sharing the other parts to the party!  So make sure you stop back by!

Duck invite

Years ago I threw a duck baby shower. The other day when a friend asked me to help with a shower I was excited to say yes. It was even more exciting that it was duck themed. So I pulled out the original party and we played from there. I would like to share the originals first :). Now looking at this invite think of all if the ways it could be changed with MDS!!!

Duck food cards

We threw a brunch baby shower. We decided to get many kinds of cream cheese and needed a way to tell which were what without the kids being out. So I made food cards to label the foods :)
