Prayer Journal

This project is my pride and joy!  When I said I would design and assemble the journals I did not have 160 in mind.  Each person gets a journal at their seat and then we will sell the extras.  When I started I just fell in love with this layout.  It started with the flower (that is everywhere) and then expanded.  I did not like the flower in the center or along in the corner.  After playing a lot I realized this would be the PERFECT place to place the verse from the speaker.    The only thing I learned is that they were hard to store until the event.  If you box them wrong the flowers and pennants get squished ;(  So 2 cut boxes later they are packed and ready to go!

Duck Shower Thank You Pad

Ever since I found out that Office Depot will cut there large tablets in half for a small charge I have been adding them to my sets :)  I always have extra of the theme embellishments (this time the ducks).  So it has been fun extra gift for only $0.75.  I mean come on, times have you been at a shower searching the hosts house for computer or scratch paper.  This solves the problem and then you can add magnets to the back and have a perfect fridge list!  Have a great day!!!

Small Group Journal

I wanted to give my small group something special for their notes for our new study.  I wanted there to be room to write notes as well as prayer requests.  I started out with the backing paper and then saw the framelit.  As soon as I remembered I has it I had to play with scraps and that is how this cover came to be :)

Prayer Journals

I love making journals for my small group to use for the lesson.  This time we were given a little workbook for our lessons, so I though we needed a little (purse sized book) for our prayer requests.    I started with the little journals (pictured below) and covered the journal with red paper.  Then I gave it a fun strip of black and white paper.  Then I built a rosette, using the Tim Holtz die cut.  (Note: if you are using the Big Shot you will need an Extender Space Platform from Sizzix.)  I hot glued the rosette on the front.  Then I punched out an elegant butterfly and stamped the love on it.
