New School Planner

There is just something fun about butterflies!  After the birthday party I was inspired to use butterflies on my school planner for the year!!!  The only sad thing is 2 weeks after I made and laminated this lesson plan cover I was moved to Kindergarten.  I decided I liked my cover so much I would just have to make the "transitional" wording work for this year.  Look what happens to those who try to get ahead of the game ;(

These butterflies were placed in the flowers on the tables.  With the hydrangeas the butterflies look like they were above the clouds ;)  I loved it!!!

Pink Butterfly Party Banner

I have recently realized EVERY PARTY needs a banner!  This party was no exception!!!  I loved how they displayed the 2 banners at the party.  A banner can make a party in ANY space!

Punch:  1 1/4" Scalloped Circle
Folder: Polka Dot
Die: Beautiful Wings

Pink Butterfly Party food Pinwheels

I love pinwheels, though these are a little small so they can be hard to work with (as I learned).  Originally these were for the dessert cupcakes.  When the favor changed to a cupcake these became the sandwich decorations (below).  They are so cute and helped to add pink to the sandwich plates!!!

Folder: Polka Dots
Die: Pinwheel

Gift Note Pad

I love making these gift note pads.  It is the perfect place to write the gifts down.  No matter how busy you are you will not loose track of your tank you list with a matching note pad.

Pink Butterfly Party Food Tags

Sorry I did not have a closeup of the tag but as you can see they fit right in on the serving plates.  This picture also has many of the other items from the party.

Celebrate

I LOVE Julie's card!  There is just something so fun about the bright colors and the miss match butterflies.  When I look at this card I can only imagine the possibilities!!!  This card could be used for any event.  Also the butterflies could be switched out for another shape and totally change the whole card ;)

CLASS Best Friend

I just loved Sarah's shoe box card (below).  I decided to use the base idea for a card for my class.  I did not bring my big shot to the class so I swapped out the die cut for the butterfly punches.  To simplify the card for my group I also left off the twine and button.  Though in the end I really missed them on my card.  Thanks Sarah for the great card idea!!!

Happy 101st Birthday Grandma

Tomorrow my grandma will turn 101. My grandma loves cards and things to decorate her house. At her age she does not need more things to dust so I thought a pretty banner would be great to match her card. There is something so special about banners so I wanted her to have one this year :)  Last year she asked us to get her KFC for dinner!  I wonder what she will ask my parents for this year ;)

Imagine the Possibilities

This was the last card I made for my Monday night class.  I would like to thank Lowe's for the free paint sample that I used to make this card.  The best part is I did not have to find three different purples that matched.  I attached the butterflies to the paper first.  Then I added the imagine under the butterflies.  I topped it off with a little floss that the bottom.  Just a note to make sure the floss does not get pulled inside the card you make a font of the card.  After the floss is on you attach the whole front to a complete card.

Happy 101st Birthday Grandma

Can you believe that my Grandma will be 101 on Saturday??? It seemed like a lot last year when she turned a hundred. Over the last year she has lost my grandpa and life has changed a lot so I thought a special card would be nice :)  I will have to pick up a box of chocolate from See's to go with it to get an even bigger smile.

Easter Craftin

Here are just a few if our crafty elements from our family Easter yesterday :)  I hope you had a few crafts at your Easter!

The kids make an egg for each of us there!
Here is my egg!  We used a rolled piece of
embossed paper under each to hold them
in place as name cards!
Here is the punch that I needed to mark so people knew
it was not mimosas but just punch ;)
Sorry it is so fuzzy!  It looked clear on the phone ;(
Here is the Easter banner from yesterday!

Happy Easter

I wanted to bring a bit of Spring into our Easter lunch so I made a quick banner last night. I liked it do much I packed it with the decorations got next year. Happy Easter!

Small Group Journal

I wanted to give my small group something special for their notes for our new study.  I wanted there to be room to write notes as well as prayer requests.  I started out with the backing paper and then saw the framelit.  As soon as I remembered I has it I had to play with scraps and that is how this cover came to be :)
