Pink Butterfly Party Butterfly Flowers

These butterflies were placed in the flowers on the tables.  With the hydrangeas the butterflies look like they were above the clouds ;)  I loved it!!!

Foil Wedding

This was my card swap for the girls night about a week ago.  We were to design a card and then make one for each of the 12 people attending the swap.  This was my card.  I had been wanting to make a card with simple tin foil so this was my chance.  I sent the tinfoil through the big shot first using the top note die.  Then I sent it through again with the Lacy Brocade folder to give it texture.  Now note to self this card looks good, but i later learned that if you double up the tinfoil the top note die seals it together and it makes it easier to work with when it comes to the twine ;)  Next step is the twine.  Then you add the flower and the NEW Artisian stamp and punch.  This week I will share everyone elses card swaps.  Stay tuned they are great!!!

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day!  I wanted to do something fun with lots of embossing folders.  In the end I LOVED all of the layers of colors and textures.  Looking back I only wished I would have done something with the green.  It looks a little flat in this picture compared to everything else.  I hope you got to spend a little time with the ladies in your life!

Easter Craftin

I wanted to bring a bit of Spring into our Easter lunch so I made a quick banner last night. I liked it do much I packed it with the decorations got next year. Happy Easter!

Duck Shower Flower Accent

I was asked to create all of the elements for a baby shower.  The invite was designed by someone else, so I thought I would show you the elements I designed.  I was told this would be a duck themed shower using blue, yellow, orange and burlap.  I thought I would start with showing you the centerpiece accents.  This was one of the requested elements to the shower.  The bow is just to hold them together for delivery.  The bottom picture is just the ducks in my table flowers.  If I get a picture from the party I will share it ;)

Heart Plant

My in laws were in town for dinner on their way home to AZ.  I wanted to get his mom flowers to celebrate their anniversary but I knew they would never make the drive.  When I was at Trader Joe's they had theses cute plants so I had to pick one up!  I added a simple Happy Anniversary sign to the center and I was done.

Love and Sympathy

Last week my aunt passed away and I wanted to send something to my cousins.  It is never easy to say goodbye but I was honored to be there for the family at the end.  This card was in honor of how much my aunt lived for art and never forgot to tell me I needed to make a business out of my type of art.  I love you Aunt Tam!

Halloween Flowers

On Saturday i am teaching a wreath class. I had extra rosettes so I wanted to do something with them. For one of my bridal showers a friend put black and white paper in the vases and filled them with punk and white daisies. So today I took the flowers out of the case and I filled it with the leftover rosettes attached to a stick. I made the flowers using the SU! rosette die :)

I started by using my Big Shot to cut out the Purse die.  It cuts a handle and a purse in one cut.  Then you simply assemble the purse by adhering the tabs on each side to the purse.  Then I used the small scallop to cut out the red scallop.  Once the main part of the purse was done I stamped the "desserts" stamp onto a white piece of paper and colored the cherry.  Then I proceeded to cut it out using the 1 3/8" circle punch.  I attached it with a dimensional to help it stand out on the purse.

Nicole's Box

Since it is a recipe shower we had to have a box!  So I took a wooden box from JoAnn's and painted it with chalk board paint to give it a matted black color. As I waited for it to dry I stamped the flower and center from the Mixed Blossom stamp set onto white paper.  Then I embossed the flower to give it a little sparkle.  Once it was dry I attached the flower to the front to tie it into the shower.  Then I used the XL Decorative Label to make the tabs for the dividers.  Now it ready and just waiting for peoples cards.

Nicole's Family Invite

I had so much fun with Nicole's shower that I thought I would show you piece by piece up until her shower.  So here we go with her invite.  I started out wanting to use the theme colors of the wedding.  The invite opens from the top and then you fold the bottom flap down to reveal the recipe card and invite information.  Since it is a recipe shower every guest is given a recipe card with a food theme (ie dessert, salad, . . . ) in the corner.  They are to write their favorite recipe on their card. and bring it to the shower.  This will start Nicole's fun recipe collection.  Stay tuned for more of the shower this week ;)

Here is the whole set.  Looking back I wish the Blossom Punch was not so big, because the scalloped circle does not match as much as I would have liked, but that is what everyone wanted ;)

Blossom Butterfly

This must be my favorite card.  I got this idea from the catalog and changed the sediment.  you start with a basic card and add a colored boarder and then a white polka dot embossed boarder.  To the top you will stamp one of the mixed bunch flowers and punch.  Next punch one more Blossom with your colored paper.  To make the butterfly cut the top and bottom petal out of your blossom.  To add your sediment boarder you white sediment paper with your colored paper and stamp using the coordinating color :)  Simple and clean!  And today remember to "Cast your burdens upon the  Lord, and He will Sustain thee"!

Blossom Tag Card

Since I forgot to post yesterday I thought I would post twice this morning.  This was my blossom gift tag.  I folded a piece of paper in half and stamped the stamp going off the top just a tad (you might be able to see above the right leaf).  Then you punch the card out with the blossom punch making sure to save a little of the fold (so it stays together).  Then I stamped the center decoration and punched it out using the 1" circle punch. and adhered it to the center.  To make it look a little more fun I used the blossom punch and punched out a blossom in green.  I cut the petals apart and used them as leaves.  Now you are ready to attach it to the top of your gift!

Simple Blossom

This card was so easy, but I loved the way it looked in person!  It was so simple to make.  All you do is adhere a white piece of card stock.  Then you stamp the flower on and add a black jewel with some sparkle in the center of each flower.  You are done!!!

Expanding Blossom

I just love this stamp!  All I did for this card was was stamp the stamp in three colors.  Then I punched the stamp with the Blossom Punch.  to help expand the flower I cut the back flowers in petals and glued it together.  At the class I did not make the back layer as thick and it gave a whole different look.  Happy Cutting!!!

Blossom Class

This class is on June 12th!  I have decided to have only one class at 6:30-9pm at the Stockton Panera.  There was not enough interest for the morning time.  I would love to see you there!  If you will be going please let me know in advance so I can prepare materials for you.

 

Nothing but Heaven

I am so excited that I get to craft with friends today!  I love this simple card!!!  I stamped the Mixed Bunch blossom on white paper in blue.  Then I used the blossom punch to cut around the blossom.  Then I used the small center stamp and punched it out using the 1" circle punch.  I attached it with a dimensional in the center.  Then I used the blossom punch to cut out the leaves.  I cut the flower into 6 leaves.  Then I attached the whole flower onto the card.  When I was done I used one of the stamps from the Blessings from Heaven to add a sediment to my card!  Have fun stampin!!!
